A facial cleanser is always the first step in every at-home skin care regimen. While merely providing a cleanse to rid your face of dirt, dead skin cells, and other unwanted surface debris, a well-formulated facial cleanser can also be used to prep your skin for any daily skincare routine or even treatment products for acne, along with all other skincare products.
What Is a Facial Cleanser, and What Are Some of the Benefits of Using Such a Skin Care Product?
One of the facial wash skin-care products is designed to rid the skin of dead cells, oil, dirt, makeup, and other pollutants in the skin in order to keep pores clear and prevent such skin conditions as acne.
However, there are many in the lineup, making it pretty difficult to find the best type of cleanser for you. Knowing the differences can help you pick the best skin care product for your skin type. Read more about cleanser Everything You Need to Know About Facial Cleanser.
3 Types of Facial Cleansers:
Gel Cleansers: It's a facial cleanser with a gel-like consistency. Many have deep-cleaning and exfoliating properties that make them ideal for oily, acne-prone skin.
Cream cleansers are usually thicker and hence very moisturizing. They will clean your skin without stripping any of its natural oils and so are perfect for those who have dry or sensitive skin.
Foam cleansers: These light skincare products create a foamy lather while being dispensed from a pump package. They remove excess oil as much as the gel cleansers do, though they are great for combination skin.
Importance of Using Facial Cleansers
WASH OFF BUILDUP One of the most common advantages associated with washing one's face has to do with washing away dirt, oil, and other impurities. Facial skin is constantly picking up bacteria, pollutants, viruses, dirt, and old, or dead, skin cells. Washing your face daily washes these impurities away to give the skin a fresh new look. If not washed, the skin would be coarse with the accumulation of dirt and other substances, reducing the quantity of other products that can effectively be absorbed into the skin. HYDRATION BOOSTING
Additionally, regular face washing accompanied by the application of a good moisturizer can help the skin in keeping itself well-hydrated. Dehydrated skin looks and feels rough, wrinkled, and aged. Cleaning helps manage PH levels of the skin that enables enough water and product retention.
CLEAR SKIN MAINTENANCE
The tiny glands underneath the skin start to produce a type of oil called sebum, protecting the skin from the dangers of the outside world. These glands utilize hair follicles inside the skin as a means of directing the oil out onto the surface of the skins outer layer, so as to form a barrier that will prevent penetration by any sort of bacteria or harmful agents.
Excessive dirt accumulation at the surface will clog the follicle, thereby locking in sebum, sweat, and dead skin cells. The absence of sebum on the skin's surface then allows bacteria to get into the follicle to cause inflammation. Voila. Acne.
Cleansing the skin properly means clearing the pores of such debris to avoid having a huge accumulation of dirt block the way so that the sebum oil can rise freely up the skin surface unimpeded; hence, the reduced possibilities of breakouts.
How to Use Facial Cleansers
Using a facial cleanser is rather quite easy and probably one of the most natural routines in keeping the skin healthy. First, splash some warm water on your face to open up those pores. Gently rub a small amount of cleanser onto your fingers before massaging it into your face with circular motions, covering every area but the eyes. This loosens dirt, oil, and makeup. Rinse well with tepid water and pat dry the face with a clean towel. Follow up for best results with a toner and moisturizer, based on your skin type. Clean your face twice a day using a facial cleanser, once in the morning and before bed, to clean the skin.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT FACIAL CLEANSERS
With literally hundreds of cleansing products to choose from here are some simple tips for selecting a great skin cleanser:
Consult a dermatologist or other skin care professional. A trained professional can recommend a product that meets each patient's individual needs.
Know your skin type and choose a cleanser that will go well with it. So if you have dry skin, you're going to want to avoid cleansers with high alcohol content. If you have oily skin, then you are going to need to get something at a lower PH level. For sensitive skin, you'll want one that is very basic, totally free of heavy fragrance and additives.
The delivery type of the cleanser does matter. Cream-based cleansers are good for dry skin, and gel or foamy cleansers are better for oily skin types.
If you do a lot of makeup, you definitely want a cleanser targeted toward removal.
If you are one of those people who exercises and sweats a lot, then look for products that target clogged pores.
If you have concerns about allergies, then look for "natural" cleansers free from synthetic ingredients. Most cleansers promoted as "mild" do a great job of cleansing without excessive drying or irritation. Be sure to choose a cleanser that is PH balanced for maintaining your skin's natural balance.
Take some time to compare products and read the reviews. We have a range of skin cleansers available in our clinics and in our online store.
